Who the heck is this person, right?!

I am a lover of all things that involve:

Events + Animals + Roadtrips + Wine + Food (mostly tacos.. if I’m honest).

I’m an animal-mom of 3 wild creatures: a Pitbull named Eli, a Pit/Lab/Foxhound weirdo named Bruce, and a Russian Tortoise named Luna.

My name is Megan and I’m the owner of BluBook Events. If you like Taco Tuesdays, Binge-worthy Netflix/Hulu shows and movies, delicious wines or spicy margs, adventuring outside of your comfort zone or trying new things.. then swipe right, baby (or.. just fill out a contact form) ‘cause I think you and I should be friends! Being creative, designing, and having FUN while we work is exactly what the doctor prescribed ✓ especially post-pandemic, am I right?!

The Finer Details…

I absolutely love to help plan & design weddings, corporate parties, private celebrations- you name it. I took a pause in 2023 to help more with my Family’s business, but I admit- Wedding Planning has been a passion for years and I will continue this passion indefinitely.

Prior to starting my Business in 2015, I spent some years soaking up knowledge and experience alongside some incredible vendors, such as Sound in Motion, Viewpoint Events, Nestldown, and more, who then gave me the courage, motivation, and inspiration to start my business. Prior to that, I served a full contract for the US Army in Fort Hood & Fort Bliss, TX. I then joined the Reserves and moved back to San Jose, California (my hometown being Santa Cruz) in 2013, planting new roots again.

As a Wedding Planner, throughout the planning process, I work with you directly as we conquer each step; giving you guidance when needed, vendor and venue recommendations, creating the timeline & layout, tracking your budget and payment progress, being your Point of Contact (or Planning Partner in Crime) through everything, and even attend meetings with you when you need a wingman! It’s my goal to make your event look and feel perfect, while giving you the freedom to enjoy your day without the stress of logistics.

As a Blogger, I hope to serve up a side-splitting, knowledge-packed, experience. Follow along for some insightful tidbits and the occasional witty anecdote. I hope through some good laughs and quick reads, you can learn a trick or two that can help you in your everyday life (or Wedding Planning) somehow.

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me and my journey. I hope my story has inspired you in some way. Remember, life is an ever-evolving adventure, so be excited for what lies ahead.
